The beige teddy scrunchie is crocheted using Hobbii Go Handmade Teddy yarn. The black crochet scrunchies are crocheted using Bernat Velvet yarn* and the red one is crocheted using Lankava Selina-samettilanka. There are two sizes for black velvet scrunchies, slim and chunky. The red and beige scrunchie were crocheted according to the slim hair scrunchie’s pattern.

Slim Crochet Hair Scrunchie – Pattern
Insert double crochet stitches to a hair band so that you can see as little band as possible when stretched. Close the double crochet round with a slip stitch to the first double crochet stitch. Secure the seam by knotting a few knots with the tails. Hide the tails inside the scrunchie.
Note: Bernat Velvet* yarn, especially, is quite sleek and slippery and it makes the stitches to “re-shape” and it results with big loops pointing out from the hair scrunchie. At least I don’t mind this but you can minimize this by using a smaller hook (5 mm for example) or crochet tighter stitches.
Chunky Crochet Hair Scrunchie – Pattern
Insert single crochet stitches to a hair band so that you can see as little band as possible when stretched. Start the second round by inserting three double crochet stitches to each single crochet stitch. The hair scrunchie will fold beautifully! Close the double crochet round with a slip stitch to the first double crochet stitch. Secure the seam by knotting a few knots with the tails. Hide the tails inside the scrunchie.
Tip: create crochet hair scrunchies in different delicious colors and give them as a gift to your friends! : )
